Obituary – Seve Ballesteros

Severiano Ballesteros Sota, or simply Seve. 54 years old. It really is no age in the 21st century. It would be a lie to say that I am a golf fan; I don’t even really watch sports on TV. But there was something about Seve that we all loved – a charm, a magical smile, charisma. He was more than a golfer.

My first novel, Obituary, is in part about a man who seeks to find an identity, and wonders how the world will remember him when he is gone. Before he has lived, the protagonist worries about the content of his obituary. Seve leaves an obituary that many will remember, and few will forget.
