Norway – Imagine

It is difficult to know what to think, let alone write, when a tragedy such as that which occurred two days ago in Norway happens. Whilst we mourn together for this terrible and senseless loss of life, I heard a song playing on the radio yesterday that to me at least, seemed appropriate. That the author would himself be brutally murdered several years after releasing the song, makes the words all the more poignant. I won’t put all the lyrics here, just a few, that I hope will be deemed as apt.

Imagine all the people living for today…

Nothing to kill or die for…

Imagine all the people, living life in peace,

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
